You say you are supportive of transgender people, but this article sounds like just the opposite.

I am transgender, and had my surgery done in 2019. I'm over 65 now, but knew I should have been male by 1st grade.

Unfortunately for me, I had to endure decades of abusive treatment, mis-diagnoses by a very anti-female taught health care system, and eventually figured out how to get things done behind all my health care providers backs.

It looks like you emphasize the sloppy surgeries, not the professionally done ones, like what I had done.

Where do you get "Each person that starts hormone therapy as a teen is worth over $1 million lifetime dollars to the pharmaceutical industry " from?

For about 60 years worth of T shots, that's only $36,000.

There continues to be horrendous stigma against people like me, through out health care and the justice systems.

Thank you for the correction. I was incorrect. I left the original text and added a correction and a link to clarify. My sourcing should have been more accurate.

I find your story interesting as you are an older female who transitioned which seems quite rare. I have seen surgeries which all goes well but for those whom it does not, like Scott Newgent and Richie, the effects are devastating, both on urinary function and sexual function. I've heard people call themselves mutants and despair at ever finding a partner.

The medical science is being developed. To become disabled at a young age is a very high price to pay especially as physical pain is currently so poorly treated in the US.

I am glad things worked out well for you. That is heartening.

Incredible piece, but please avoid the notion that men can have vaginas. They have holes. Also, male to female and female to male is not a thing in humans or any mammals.

Thank you for writing on Substack. I hope you are able to reach a respectable audience that will

appreciate your wisdom and insight. John Campbell does videos on You Tube. He is a nurse/teacher. I've been watching his videos only for a few months, but his latest is on an article in BMJ regarding the 'illusion of evidence based medicine'. The science is replaced by the money and as you stated in your essay, millions are to be made in the trans world. It's never about health.
